And the media treats it as if it were compiled by Patrick Fitzgerald himself. Team Obama must be innocent of any inappropriate contact, the media concludes, because Team Obama says it is.
Note to the MSM morons: It was hardly an unbiased report. The incoming Obama Administration had too much to lose by finding anything other than innocence and was investigating itself without any external oversight. Rahm Emanuel could’ve had the cash in the suitcase already and the report would’ve found him innocent of inappropriate contact.
As the one commentator on Fox News says, believing this report on its face is like believing a report by Dick Cheney clearing Scooter Libby. I doubt the media would’ve responded by considering Mr. Libby cleared.
Oh, and note the timing. After 4PM on December 23rd, with people’s minds on Christmas and Obama thousands of miles away in Hawaii. Now the media can get back to giggling over the Messiah’s glistening pecks.

The relief I feel at this reassuring news is secondary only to the news that Tom Cruise is plotting to kill Adolph Hitler. I don’t want to spoil the ending for you, but I’m fairly sure that Tom will put an end to the evil one.
