Absolutely horrible. Fire and police boats, apparently private crafts, and at least one water taxi are on the scene. There were reportedly 150+ people on board. There are many survivors, according to Fox.

Update: A fricking miracle. Shep Smith and other sources say that police sources confirm all passengers made it off alive. Several en route to hospital. It’s 20 degrees in New York, so obvious concerns arise. Apparently the water taxis quickly left their route and went to help. One witness says they were “racing up the river”.

Update X2: Holy crap. Check out the picture. Oh, and a Tweet: “There’s a plane in the Hudson. I’m on the ferry going to pick up people.”

Update X3: The plane was in the air for six minutes and reached several thousand feet, CBS NY reports. Remarkable. Passerbys handed off their coats to the wet passengers.

Update X4: The FAA confirms that all passengers got off alive.
