As for not showing up, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee held three hearings on Afghanistan over the past two years. Senator Obama managed to show up for a whopping one (1) of them while criticizing the Bush Administration for not paying enough attention to the home of the Taliban. Since Obama’s only been in office for a few days we can’t really compare presidential laziness, but Senator Obama didn’t exactly have a perfect attendance record.
