I’m pretty much useless when it comes to capturing video for the internet, so don’t clips from me. If Hot Air or others do manage to upload the interview I’ll post it here.
Those who thought that Chairman Steele would be an effective, intelligent communicator of the Republican Party’s ideals and future plans appear to have been right. Steele stressed that we’re the conservative party while Democrats have established themselves as the liberal party interested in expanding government. While he wants to expand the GOP tent, he has stressed that we won’t cede our conservative principles.
Steele was very fluid in communicating his ideas for the future and made a very important point: Just because a black man is head of the Republican Party doesn’t mean that black Americans will flock to it. There’s a lot of work to do in order to accomplish Steele’s goal: To bring the party to all 50 states, from Alaska to Virginia and Oregon to Florida, and to reinvigorate the party of Lincoln and Reagan.
