Obama People Wanted to Drive Limo onto Leno Stage

by Stephan Tawney on March 19, 2009

Ben Silverman, the chairman of NBC, filled Ryan Seacrest in on the details regarding Obama’s campaign stop on Jay Leno. Apparently Obama’s people wanted to literally drive his lemo, a moving fortress, onto the stage.

“To get him into the stage, they literally wanted to have the ability to drive his limo into the set and onto the stage,” said Silverman. “The weight [of the President's Limo] is so intense that it would’ve collapsed the stage, so now we have to build this whole structure next to the stage to he can drive right up to it.”

You can listen to the audio over at Seacrest’s site if you can bear the teenage girl-like gushing over a superstar. And that’s just from Silverman. Did you know that George Bush never showed humor or compassion? But that Obama shows admirable confidence, inspires people to be like him, and is the ideal humanized president? And some people say that NBC is biased in his favor. Silly.
