Resigns, thrown under the bus, whatever. Point being that he is no longer employed by the White House. How convenient that the resignation came on a Friday night when few Americans are interested in such topics.
An Air Force flyover that caused panic on the streets of New York last month cost U.S. taxpayers as much as $357,000 and has left one White House employee without a job.
On Friday, President Barack Obama accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, director of the White House Military Office.
The president was said to have been furious about the incident and had ordered an internal review. The mission had been approved by Caldera, who had apologized.
Also on Friday, in a letter to Sen. John McCain, Defense Secretary Robert Gates provided requested details of the incident.
The New York Post (and Drudge) has the picture that apparently warranted scaring the city of New York half to death. Either we need a larger version of the image to enjoy its beauty or, er, it’s a pretty horrible photo. Either way, we should probably get answers as to why the White House wanted to hide it after the incident.

More: As Michelle Malkin points out, the released report says that planning began sometime around March. Caldera blamed medical conditions for his failure to read the email concerning the photo-op. An incident that cost American taxpayers $328,835, keep in mind.
More: So apparently I’m not the only one who thinks the photo is atrocious.

W.H. has got to be kidding!! They want us to beleive this is a secret photo and can’t be shown. This is a massive coverup. One photo taken, required 2 F15’s, and, someone has taken my 747! Obama knew before hand what is going on. If you take a look at the questions by press, when asked about plane, Obama smiled at being told about plane. I would like to know who was on plane, could it be the people who gave Clinton money to sleep and stay in lincoln’s bed, don’t think so! And what about the air force’s policy about flying at that height. People are not dumb as they portray us.
