Breaking: Sotomayor Picked for SCOTUS

by Stephan Tawney on May 26, 2009

Federal Appeals Court Judge Sonia Sotomayor, a noted liberal jurist with a propensity towards activism on the bench, has been chosen by President Obama to be nominated to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Sotomayor, who lawyers have described as a “bully” who “abuses” the attorneys, will have to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate after hearings.

The pick isn’t much of a surprise. Sotomayor is female and Hispanic — two constituencies Obama needed to pay back for helping carry him to the White House. She also fills multiple liberal-required quotas. You know, rather than having a grasp on the U.S. Constitution and ruling according to the law of the land. She’s “compassionate” — something that should really be left for religious institutions, yet finds its way onto the high court whenever a liberal or gullible squish is in the White House.

Michelle Malkin had legal friends do a profile of her and other possible picks a few weeks back. Sotomayor’s a real treat, let me tell you.
