Even if she’s unaware that they’re internet 9/11 Truthers, shouldn’t she have walked the other way when they began to talk about explosives in World Trade Center rubble? She wants votes so badly that she’ll try to appease, as Allahpundit calls them, modern-day Holocaust deniers? As a New York Senator? Pathetic.
To his credit, President Bill Clinton told these loons off in no uncertain terms when he encountered them — twice. No bullcrap about reopening investigations, considering “new evidence”, etc. No appeasement of loons who share whacked-out theories amongst one another based on non-existent, whacked-out “evidence”.
Exit question: Will this encounter come back to bite Gillibrand in the political ass? New Yorkers might not be thrilled about their senator being open to whacked-out theories about the U.S. government being responsible for the murder of 3,000 of its citizens.
