New Ad: No Money for Needed Surgery, But Plenty for Abortions

by Stephan Tawney on July 29, 2009

A very effective ad courtesy of the Family Research Council. It’s different than most previous ads for two major reasons: 1) The government denying a senior much-needed surgery thanks to rationing is played out; and 2) It’s pointed out just how ridiculous it is for taxpayers to be forced to pay to end life, while those who want to extend their lives may be denied care.

There’s actually a large contingent of Democrats in the House, and supposedly some pro-lifers like Bob Casey in the Senate, who’ve announced that they’ll oppose any healthcare legislation that doesn’t explicitly deny funds for abortion. It’s another potential, major stumbling block in the road towards Barack Obama’s dream of socialized healthcare.
