AP: Russian Subs Are Patrolling Off East Coast

Why, it’s almost like Moscow doesn’t fear President HopenChange. I feel as if we’re reliving the Carter Administration, this time in high definition.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Defense officials say two nuclear-powered Russian attack submarines have been patrolling in international waters off the East Coast for several days.

The officials tell The Associated Press that while they haven’t seen such unusual activity since the Cold War, the military is not overly concerned. They say the Russians have a right to conduct naval exercises and are operating according to international law.

Whether they have the “right” to patrol off the coast is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that they feel comfortable enough sending nuclear submarines to patrol our coast with no threat of retaliation in any form — even rhetorical — from the Obama Administration.

They see Obama for the weak, pusillanimous leader that he is. They’ve looked into his soul and found a wimp unwilling to stand up for his country and its ideals. Maybe that’s the result of The One’s global apology tour.
