Former Democratic Congressman William Jefferson (Louisiana) has been convicted of eleven out of the sixteen corruption charges against him, MSNBC is now reporting. Details soon.
Update: Here’s part of the story now. Do note how is party affiliation isn’t mentioned in the headline and remains unmentioned until the last sentence of the second paragraph.
Had he been a Republican, either “GOP” would’ve been splashed in the headline or “Republican” would’ve been in the first three words of the story.
More: Michelle Malkin.
Update X2: The MSNBC/AP report has been updated, and his party affiliation is now at the beginning of the second paragraph. Better.
