Remember when dissent was considered the highest form of patriotism by the left? That was back in the day when the dissenters were lefties. Now that it’s conservatives, libertarians, and independents dissenting from the administration’s policies, suddenly dissent is up there with terrorism.

At least, that’s how Rep. Baron Hill (D-Ind) sees things. If you’re interested in expressing your dislike of socialized health care, Hill sees you as a “political terrorist”.

“They have only one purpose in mind and that’s to blow up the meetings that are being held and that serves no one, ladies and gentlemen,” said Hill.

Hill recently called them political terrorists, a term he avoided in his speech but not in a 24-Hour News 8 interview.

“If you just want to blow up a meeting that’s a political terrorist,” said Hill.

What qualifies as “blow(ing) up” a meeting? Has there been a recent rash of explosions at town halls? I’ve seen Americans protesting a governmental policy, questioning their elected officials, and SEIU thugs beating up taxpayers who dare to speak up.

Like I said, there was a time when the left considered dissent the highest form of patriotism. But that was before the dissenters were non-lefties.
