Good News: Hillary Clinton Hints that 2000 Election Was Rigged

by Stephan Tawney on August 12, 2009

Watch as the same lefties who went berserk condemning the Birthers openly embrace conspiracy theories coming from an Obama Administration cabinet official. It’s not that they have problems with crazy theories, they just have problems with crazy theories that don’t help their cause.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton compared Nigeria’s corruption and electoral problems with the 2000 Florida presidential election recount during a town hall meeting today in Abuja, Nigeria.

Answering a question about Nigeria’s recent election, Clinton said, “In 2000, our presidential election came down to one state where the brother of the man running for President was the governor of the state. So we have our problems too.”

Yes, by all means, let’s compare the corruption in Nigeria to our 2000 presidential election. I’d go through the rounds about the 7-2 Supreme Court decision, the fact that we were several recounts in at the time, and that independent recounts conducted by media outlets confirmed that Bush won the election. But I’m sick and tired of dealing with the stupidity.

It’s so nice to see our Secretary of State endorsing conspiracy theories about former presidents of the United States and governors. Watch as the media ignores this bout of stupidity, while simultaneously painting all Republicans as Birthers because a few, relatively unknown individuals who believe in that theory happen to be registered Republicans.

Talk about a disgrace.
