Democrats have two main Achilles heels in their ObamaCare argument: Blue Dogs who have to assure conservative constituents that the legislation is responsible and liberals who tell their constituents that “progressive” causes are taken care of.

This is a case of the latter. Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) was captured on video bragging to her San Jose constituents that ObamaCare will provide for taxpayer-funded abortions outside of the usual cases of incest, rape, and the life of the mother being at risk.

Perhaps surprisingly, Lofgren’s constituents are none too happy about her answer. Her admission gets booed roundly by town hall attendees. Not that she’ll end up caring in the end anyway, but at least their displeasure has been noted.

Regardless of where you stand morally on the issue of abortion, taxpayers shouldn’t forced to fund abortion procedures outside of those provided for in the Hyde Amendment. It’s an outrage that ObamaCare will end up doing just that.
