Obama: “We are God’s partners in matters of life and death”

Holy mother of Lord. The One has gotten presumptuous enough to consider himself a partner of God’s in the ultimate question of life or death. We’ve made a million jokes about Obama being the Messiah, but this is just fricking ridiculous.

None of us are God’s “partners”, and especially not on matters of life and death. This creep is actually elevating the government and its bureaucrats to a level of religion up there with the deity the majority of Americans have faith in.

President Barack Obama needs some outside help pushing health care reform, and he’s turning to rabbis to get it.

In a morning conference call with about 1000 rabbis from across the nation, Obama asked for aid: “I am going to need your help in accomplishing necessary reform,” the President told the group, according to Rabbi Jack Moline, who tweeted his way through the phoner.

“We are God’s partners in matters of life and death,” Obama went on to say, according to Moline’s real-time stream.

Just to be clear, the moral issue of abortion is something The One considers above his pay-grade.  But apparently his pay level allows him to be considered a “partner” of God in matters of life and death.

As P.J. O’Rourke says, conservatives believe in God. Clinton believes in going to church. And Clinton’s supporters believe that the only true church in today’s world is government. Just change out “Clinton” with “Obama”.
