Three cheers for government-run health care! I don’t know about you, but I certainly can’t wait to be wrongly told that I’m going to die because of a computer glitch. Or better yet, told that one of my children is going to die of ALS.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – At least 1,200 veterans across the country have been mistakenly told by the Veterans Administration that they suffer from a fatal neurological disease…
Letters dated Aug. 12 were intended to notify veterans who have Lou Gehrig’s disease of disability benefits available to them.
Calls to the VA were not immediately returned Monday.
Lou Gehrig’s disease, or ALS, is a rapidly progressive disease that attacks the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscles.
And yet this same government wants to run the health care of hundreds of millions of Americans, sending possibly millions of people into a panic if the computer has an error. Craptastic.
Exit question: If we absolutely must have government overlords making our decisions, can we at least have smart and efficient government overlords making our decisions? I hardly think that’s too much when we’re giving up freedoms.
