Despite the fact that Attorney General Eric Holder has announced an investigation into CIA agents who protected this country, he has refused to continue investigating Governor Bill Richardson (D) for his pay-for-play activities.
The Obama Administration has suddenly dropped the Department of Justice’s investigation of its former Commerce Secretary nominee and supporter of the Obama campaign.
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former high-ranking members of his administration won’t be criminally charged in a yearlong federal investigation into pay-to-play allegations involving one of the Democratic governor’s large political donors, someone familiar with the case said.
The decision not to pursue indictments was made by top Justice Department officials, according to a person familiar with the investigation, who asked not to be identified because federal officials had not disclosed results of the probe.
“It’s over. There’s nothing. It was killed in Washington,” the person told The Associated Press.
So the Obama Administration didn’t want a Democratic governor, former cabinet nominee, and campaign supporter being investigated or charged by the Department of Justice. Culture of corruption? What culture of corruption?
Incidentally, this is the second investigation the administration has killed for political reasons. The Department of Justice was investigating Black Panthers who stood outside a polling place to intimidate voters…until Barack Obama had the investigation killed.
Apparently it pays to back Barack Obama’s political ambitions. You’re placed above the law.
