Classy: Kennedy Particularly Liked Chappaquiddick Jokes

by Stephan Tawney on August 28, 2009

But let’s socialized our health care system just because this turd finally died. Yes, I’m now referring to him as a turd. The man apparently had no humanity at all.

According to one of his closest friends and a former editor of the New York Times and Newsweek, Ed Klein, one of Uncle Teddy’s favorite topics of humor was the incident where he was responsible for the death of an innocent woman. Yes, folks, the man liked to joke about Chappaquiddick.

I don’t know if you know this or not, but one of his favorite topics of humor was indeed Chappaquiddick itself. And he would ask people, “have you heard any new jokes about Chappaquiddick?” That is just the most amazing thing. It’s not that he didn’t feel remorse about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, but that he still always saw the other side of everything and the ridiculous side of things, too.

So I don’t want to hear from the left about my lack of compassion in contrast to Ted Kennedy any more. I don’t want to hear about how Uncle Teddy was so remorseful about his little incident of negligent homicide. And I certainly don’t want to hear about how we should destroy our health care system just because he’s dead.

  1. Craig Travis Says:

The man just dies, and the best you can do is call him a turd? That’s a true conservative for you.

  2. Stephan Tawney Says:

Ted Kennedy left a woman to die as she suffocated in his car. Divers said that if he had called them, they would’ve been able to save her. So he’s responsible for her death.

One of Kennedy’s closest friends revealed the other day that Ol’ Teddy loved Chappaquiddick jokes. So he loved jokes involving the incident where an innocent woman died in his car because he didn’t call for help.

On top of that, he wrote a letter to the KGB where he offered to help them harm the United States in order to harm the Reagan Administration.

So, yes, “turd” is an accurate description.
