So let’s see. Van Jones is an admitted communist, 9/11 Truther, war-for-oil conspiracy theorist, thinks white polluters are to blame for pollution in minority neighborhoods, and openly calls his opponents “assholes”. How could this possibly get worse?
Ah, this is how. Did you know only white kids “shoot up” schools? But wait. Wasn’t that V-Tech shooter who killed dozens South Korean? And wasn’t Jamar Siler, who managed to murder a student at Central High School in 2008, Hispanic? And wasn’t there, in fact, multiple school shootings at Mitchell High School, a school almost entirely black? Why, yes, thanks for asking.
Those exact examples may’ve taken place after his little diatribe, but it’s extremely unlikely that they were the first incidents. Further more, imagine if a Republican had accused only black students of doing something violent. Just imagine the sheer outrage in the media.
And yet George Allen was kicked out of office for saying “macaca”.
December 2, 2005: “You’ve never seen a Columbine done by a black child. Never. They always say, ‘We can’t believe it happened here. We can’t believe it’s these suburban white kids.’ It’s only them. Now, a black kid might shoot another black kid. He’s not going to shoot up the whole school.”
