Update: Incidentally, the media still considers Barack Obama’s history of using cocaine off limits for serious discussion. But it’s okay to slime Joe Wilson for using legal and safe pills he used in consultation with medical professionals?
Be sure to send a donation of any size to Joe Wilson for Congress. We have to start supporting members of Congress willing to stand up to Barack Obama’s blatant lying.
++++
The media’s just telling the truth about Joe Wilson, lefty apologists will claim. Fair enough. But then why was Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) somehow inappropriate for telling the truth about Obama’s rhetoric? Either telling the truth is acceptable or it’s not.
Anyway, the media has launched into full Obama apologist mode now, digging up dirt on Wilson for daring to point out Obama’s shameless and blatant lies.
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), who shouted “you lie!” at President Obama during his Wednesday night address to Congress, admitted to regularly consuming caffeine pills in 2007.
It is unknown if Wilson still takes NoDoz, a brand of pill that contains 200 milligrams of caffeine a pop. By comparison, a seven ounce cup of drip coffee contains 115 to 175 milligrams of caffeine.
A source told The Hill in 2007 that the congressman ingested the tablets “like candy,” but Wilson insisted he was not addicted despite the fact that he had been taking them since high school.
“I love coffee, but I don’t have time to drink it and I don’t have access to it,” Wilson said at the time.
The fifth-term Republican said he shared his NoDoz use with his doctor, who Wilson said assured him that the over-the-counter pills are not dangerous unless you get addicted.
So why are we even covering this if there’s nothing illegal or dangerous about what Wilson was doing at some point? Because Wilson dared to question The One and now must be destroyed. Just like every other figure who’s prominently questioned the media’s Messiah.
