Breaking: Senate Strips ACORN of Federal Funding

by Stephan Tawney on September 14, 2009

Wow, just wow. The U.S. Senate has voted 83-7 to strip corrupt, lefty organization ACORN of all federal funding. Several Democratic senators actually changed their votes from “no” to “yes” when it became clear that the amendment would pass.

Interesting votes in favor of cutting funding to ACORN: Franken, Reid, Feinstein, Schumer, and Specter.

The seven votes against: Durbin (D-IL), Burris (D-IL), Casey (D-PA), Gillibrand (D-NY), Leahy (D-VT), Sanders (D-VT), and Whitehouse (D-RI).

More: Michelle Malkin, Hot Air.
