Actually, it doesn’t even approach the level of simply misunderstanding basic economic concepts. The Democratic candidate for the Virginia governor’s mansion is completely confused about his own plans to raise taxes.
You see, Deeds promises in one breath that he won’t raise taxes and then promises to raise them in the next. Seriously. When reporters try to understand that mind-blowing stupidity, Deeds gets snippy and condescending.
For a guy who’s been lecturing his opponent on treating women with respect, Deeds gets quite condescending to the female reporter. That might be because his lectures and “outrage” has been disingenuous and merely political.
Creigh Deeds can’t be trusted on taxes. In one breath he promises not to raise taxes and then promises to raise them in the next? He’s been caught in a blatant lie and double-speak. He just realized it too late and then got snippy over the fact his lying was discovered.
