The woman actually believes that Americans are concerned over her and the president sacrificing so much of their time to help deliver the Olympics to her husband’s cronies in Chicago. She’s just that important to the average American, folks. That important.
In her speech in Copenhagen today, First Lady Michelle Obama said her trip to Denmark, along with the travel of her “dear friend” and “chit-chat buddy” Oprah Winfrey, as well as tomorrow’s visit by President Obama, is a “sacrifice” on behalf of the children of Chicago and the United States. “As much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me or Oprah or the president to come for these few days,” the first lady told a crowd of people involved in the Chicago project, “so many of you in this room have been working for years to bring this bid home.”
I know that whenever I talk to my coworkers about her spending hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars from the US Treasury to make her husband’s cronies money, never mind her husband ignoring his duties as commander-in-chief in the midst of two wars and a recession, their top concern is how much she and The One are sacrificing.
May we all take time out of our busy lives tomorrow to remember how much our First Lady and president are sacrificing to make their friends in Chicago more money at taxpayer expense. We just don’t realize how much they sacrifice for the continuation of corruption.
Update: As unbelievable as it may sound, I totally missed the part about Oprah. Yes, Americans struggling to pay their mortgages are terribly concerned that the billionaire television personality is taking time out of making even more money to bring the Olympics to Chicago in 7 years. Just wow.
