But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society…
I think any three of us sitting here could come up with a rationale for bringing about economic change through the courts.

Confiscating private land for the so-called public good isn’t new in socialist Venezuela, where redistributing wealth is the order of the day. If you think eminent domain abuse is bad in the United States, just imagine the government confiscating successful farms under the auspices of helping the poor and unsuccessful defeat the successful farmers.
The video below is a rare insight into land grabs by the thuggish Venezuela government under the insane Hugo Chavez. A government official with the backing of Caracas shows up to inform the farmer that the government has seen fit to simply take his land. The farmer rather politely objects to this insanity, which the government official responds to by demanding that there be no debate and that the farmer just sign the paper and shut up.
From Fausta’s Blog:
The farmer protests politely, explaining that he’s been raising cattle on his farm for 23 years. He is rebuffed by another guy, who says, “this is not going to be a debate; this is a public act approved by the Venezuelan people. I’m governor and I’m here to ensure public order. There won’t be a debate, I ask you to listen to the document, after which the public will take charge of the land.”
When the farmer’s wife protests, he tells her to discuss it in court.
Chavez controls the judiciary.
The farmer is told to sign the form, and then to gather the animals so they can be accounted for.
When another one of the people who lived at the farm tries to ask a question, the man who identified himself as the governor insists that “this is not a debate, this is not a meeting, and if there’s any disruption, the public force is here,” pointing to the crowd in red shirts.
Chavez is worshipped by the American left, including liberal members of the U.S. Congress. Useful idiots in Hollywood consistently meet with and praise the leftist South American leader for his supposed actions to bring about “justice”. This is apparently the “justice” they talk about — taking private property from hard-working people who own it.
Chavez, meanwhile, is an admitted fan of Barack Obama. That shouldn’t surprise anyone, as Obama has promised to meet unconditionally with Chavez and has himself touted policies of, as he’s called it, “redistribution of wealth”. Both Obama and Chavez are on record sharing similar economic and social goals.

My family’s wealth was “redistributed” in Cuba, much the same as it is happening in Venezuela. I am almost sure it will happen in Bolivia and if we don’t learn from this, it will happen to us. Wake up America!
