Left-Wing Media: Oops. Rush Didn’t Actually Say What We Accused Him Of Saying

by Stephan Tawney on October 15, 2009

Limbaugh has been dropped from the St. Louis Rams bid, so the left sees no harm in admitting its lies now. First up, the Huffington Post:

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this post contained quotes attributed to Rush Limbaugh, which Limbaugh has since denied making. As is our policy when a fact in a blog post is called into question, we gave its author 24 hours to substantiate the quote. Since he has not been able to do so, the quotes have been deleted from the post.

And now Rick Sanchez of CNN, perhaps best known for accusing Hispanics on Fox News of selling out:

i’ve know rush. in person,i like him. his rhetoric, however is inexcusably divisive. he’s right tho. we didn’t confirm quote. our bad.

Oops. Now that we’ve lied sufficiently to destroy his NFL bid, we’ll quietly retract the lies we stated as fact. Our bad!

By the way, how bad were the lies the left-wing media — including CNN — spread? Keith Olbermann actually came to Limbaugh’s defense. As in Keith Olbermann of MSNBC. That bad.

Of course, don’t count on the media widely spreading these retractions now. They’ve perfected the art of lying loudly and retracting quietly. They allow the lie to stir out in the public long enough to do the damage they want done, then quietly retract it after it’s too late to fix the problem they caused.

Dan Rather got canned from CBS and the infamous fake Bush National Guard records. I wonder how many heads will roll after this latest intentional screw up by the media?

Limbaugh should have his lawyers warmed up and ready to hit the field. I would.

  2. Bay Area Patriot Says:

That is not an apology. It makes it sound like he still said it to me. I think he should sue their asses off!
