Pelosi: It’s Fair to Send People to Jail for Not Buying Health Insurance

by Stephan Tawney on November 12, 2009

Sending people to prison for failing to purchase health insurance the government demands is fair, at least according to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-emented). Have the ability to care for your own health without insurance the government mandates? Tough. You can rot next to Bernie Madoff in prison.

Welcome to the era of Hope’N'Change, where government knows what’s best for you. You can’t be trusted to make your own financial decisions. You need Madam Pelosi to determine what’s best for your family.

Question: When the patient with no insurance goes to the hospital and the hospital asks if he has insurance, must they give a Miranda warning to the patient? Why is this different than bankruptcy where you can absolve all of your debts because we do not have debtors’ prisons anymore. Obviously, we do now!
