Wonderful: Hasan’s Classmates Knew He Was A Radical

by Stephan Tawney on November 13, 2009

So let’s see.

Not only did his business card list him as a “Soldier of Allah”…

Not only did he openly express anti-American, pro-terrorist sympathies around colleagues…

Not only did he present a lecture on how Muslims love death more than we love life…

Not only did he send money to Pakistan…

Not only did he make $90,000 per year and yet lived like a pauper, all while sending money to Pakistan…

Not only did he have known communications with extremists in Yemen…

but now we learn that Nidal Malik Hassan, the suspect in last week’s shooting at Fort Hood that left 13 people dead, was known by his classmates to be a radical. In fact, they knew he defended suicide bombers and held militant Islamist views.

And yet he was still allowed to serve as a major in the Army, apparently because people feared that bringing attention to his activities would make them appear bigoted or discriminatory.

Craptastic.
