You’re going to enjoy this irony.
Via Michelle Malkin, Newsbusters has video of MSNBC anchor Chris Matthew, MSNBC reporter Norah O’Donnell, and MSNBC guest Joan Walsh playing the race card against Sarah Palin and the crowds at her book signings.
“This is a largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd,” reported MSNBC’s O’Donnell live from the scene.
Matthews reiterated, “Well, they look like a white crowd to me,” later claiming, “I think there is a tribal aspect to this thing, in other words, white vs. other people.”
Walsh added, “I think you`ve got that same kind of paranoid tea party, maybe even birther crowd that talks about the Constitution, without really understanding what they are talking about…”
A bunch of white people with no minorities in sight? The horror! Too bad these crowds can’t be more like the crew at MSNBC. Check out the “The Place for Politics” masthead. We’ve got:
- Joe Scarborough — White
- Mika Brzezinski — White
- Dylan Ratigan — White
- Dr. Nancy Snyderman — White
- Andrea Mitchell — White
- Ed Schultz — White
- Chris Matthews — White
- Keith Olbermann — White
- Rachel Maddow — White
And, of course, both Norah O’Donnell and Joan Walsh are white.
Ah, so multicultural. We haven’t witnessed that much diversity since the last photographed Klan rally. It’s so lovely getting lectured on the lack of minorities at a book signing by an all-white line-up on a station whose political crew masthead consists of all white people.
