The Florida Highway Patrol says it will release the 911 calls related to golf superstar Tiger Woods’ crash tomorrow. As has already been reported, the injuries sustained by Woods are believed to have come from a nasty feud with his wife rather than his SUV crashing into a fire hydrant and tree.
911 calls in Florida are considered public record, so the release of the Woods tapes aren’t unusual.
Woods crashed his SUV after apparently being confronted by his wife about tabloid reports of an affair. TMZ reports that the scratches to his face were inflicted by her during the confrontation. The golf star took off in his SUV after she allegedly came after him with a golf club, getting several swings at the car before he became distracted and crashed into a fire hydrant and tree outside his $2.4 million estate.
Police say charges may be pending but that no alcohol was involved in the incident.
