Al Gore lying is nothing new, of course. He’s lied his way through politics and now his newly-minted career in global warming alarmism. In fact, he’s not even a particularly good liar. Go ahead; ask ManBearPig how hot the center of the planet is.
Anyway, he’s back to his game and lying in pursuit of dismissing ClimateGate.
He talked with Slate magazine’s John Dickerson and repeatedly pooh-poohed the scandalous ClimateGate e-mails as “more than 10 years old,” “over 10-year-old e-mails,” and “an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago.”
Er, the e-mails are from as recently as November 2009 — and as Anthony Watts documents and reminds folks on Planet Earth, “[a]nd there are dozens to hundreds more within the last month, the last year, and the last 10 years.”
Of course, none of this bothers Gore. He doesn’t actually believe the junk science he’s selling (literally). ClimateGate has become a problem for his massive investment, so he’s dismissing it out of hand as simply a distraction without merit. Even lying about basic, public facts in the process.
Will the media take note? Don’t make me laugh. They’re too busy telling us how C02, which plants use to survive and then convert into oxygen that we need to survive, is going to destroy the planet. Don’t bother them with facts.
