ObamaCare Establishes Single, Nation-wide Insurance Policy

by Stephan Tawney on December 23, 2009

Here’s what you may not know: After the Senate version of healthcare reform goes into effect, you’ll no longer be able to go directly to an insurance company and purchase a policy. You’ll lose that freedom entirely. Gone.

Instead, you’ll be forced to get your insurance through work or through the established exchange. Oh, and there will only be four different kinds of insurance policies, all of them basically the same outside of how much you pay.

Basically, you’ll have the choice between the single, nation-wide healthcare plan or the single, nation-wide healthcare plan. Want a different kind of policy? Tough. You can’t have it. Such choices!

All of this in the name of reforming healthcare to insure illegal aliens and people who didn’t want to purchase health insurance. Thanks, Democrats.
