Al Qaeda leaders in Yemen were behind yesterday’s attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to detonate an explosive aboard Northwest Airlines flight 253 yesterday. That according to a report by ABC News.
If accurate, that would mean Abdulmutallab wasn’t lying when he claimed he had ties to the notorious terrorist organization.
The most disturbing detail from this latest report? The apparent method of delivery. ABC says the explosives were sewed into the suspect’s underwear before he was sent on his suicide mission. Who’s ready for underwear searches on the airport security line?
