The woman is either:

1. Too incompetent to understand “the system” failed miserably, or
2. Lying through her teeth

Either way, she shouldn’t be serving as Secretary of Homeland Security.

Anyone who believes (or simply says) that an international terrorist managing to smuggle high-explosives aboard a commercial aircraft, his attack only thwarted by a failed detonator and Dutch passenger, proves that “the system” works shouldn’t be in any position of power.

It’s time for Madame Secretary to resign.
