Hey, why not. They’re already slow, inefficient, expensive, and demanding. Let’s give them a union so they can go on strike when they don’t get the pension plan they demand; have union leaders veto aspects of our national security apparatus; and create more bureaucracy.
Is there no aspect of the United States, including its national security, that Barack Obama and his Congressional allies don’t want to hand over to Andy Stern at the SEIU? Any aspect of American life they don’t want to make more inefficient, dangerous, and costly?
The good news is that Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) has held up the nomination of Erroll Southers, who was censured by the FBI for misusing his power, to the post of TSA chief. DeMint is demanding clarification of Southers’ position on collective bargaining.
And while dishonest liberals claim the hold leaves TSA without a head, the agency actually has an acting administrator — not unusual for a federal agency whose chief has yet to be confirmed under constitutional procedure.
Still, the fact that we’re even considering placing the reincarnation of Jimmy Hoffa in charge of American airline security gives me chills.
