Democratic senatorial candidate Martha Coakley, who has been seen getting desperate in her campaign against the more independent-minded Scott Brown, evidently can’t even spell her own state’s name.
In the attack ad her campaign released just yesterday, the name “Massachusetts” is spelled “Massachusettes”. Maybe that’s the new spelling? Does Coakley know something we don’t about the commonwealth’s name? Because last we checked, there’s no “e” before the “s” at the end of the name.
Perhaps Martha Coakley can learn to spell her own state’s name before asking its voters to send her to Washington. You really shouldn’t be representing a state whose name you don’t know how to spell.
By the way, Scott Brown responded to the desperate, negative ad by releasing his own new ad. Rather than taking the low road, he responds by talking about positive campaigning and independent thinking. Very classy.
