Haitian Disaster: Major Hotel Reportedly Collapsed

A major hotel catering to hundreds of tourists was reportedly among the infrastructural collapse as a result of the major earthquake in Haiti yesterday.

According to French Minister of Cooperation Alain Joyandet, the Hotel Montana — seen here — collapsed in its entirety. He says several hundred French tourists can not be accounted for after the collapse.

The hotel’s website says the Hotel Montana was founded in 1947.
