Ah, the bargaining lying and spinning stage of the Democrat grief process.
Scott Brown spent his campaign telling everyone who would listen that he’d be the 41st vote against ObamaCare. In fact, one of his supporters’ chants was “41! 41! 41!”. The media made everyone pretty clear on the fact that a Brown election would seriously harm the passage of ObamaCare.
The White House’s apparent conclusion? The voters didn’t know Scott Brown opposed ObamaCare.
David Axelrod, arguing this morning that the Massachusetts election wasn’t about health care, said that Scott Brown “didn’t run one ad on health care in the entire campaign.”
One problem.
That’s wrong. Brown aired the ad above for about five days toward the end of the race, making a frontal assault on Congressional health care legislation.
And, again, that’s on top of Brown telling everyone in earshot that he’d vote against ObamaCare. Saying this wasn’t about health care reform is like saying the economy wasn’t important in the 2008 presidential election.
By the way, the market is down this morning. Lefties are trying to chalk the loss up to Brown’s victory. Not so much. China announced it’s lending less than expected. There’s also bad news from IBM.
