Revealed: The SEIU’s Assault on Tea Party Activists

Yet more evidence that corporate and labor money never actually left the political system, it was just masked by the origin being several steps away from the final campaign coffer.

A new website has launched called TheTeaPartyIsOver.org, which claims to be dedicated to exposing Tea Party activists as far-right extremists with a hidden agenda. The site claims to be a product of the “American Public Policy Committee”. Sounds harmless, right?

Well, Lee Doren decided to look into exactly who’s behind the “American Public Policy Committee”. Here’s what Lee discovered:

It is paid for by the American Public Policy Committee. Well, according to opensecrets.org, the two donors for American Public Policy Committee this year are Patriot Majority and Patriot Majority West.

However, according to opensecrets.org, the 2nd largest contributor in 2008 to Patriot Majority was SEIU and other top Unions around America. I imagine the diversion of Union money gets much deeper than this.

In other words, far-left unions are funding campaigns to discredit critics of the Obama Administration. They’re just doing so under a virtual veil of secrecy, donating to an organization that then proceeds to donate to the intended cause. Patriot Majority is a front group used by far-left unions to fund an anti-dissident campaign.

In fact, the Patriot Majority’s roster of donors reads like a “Who’s Who” of far-left money sources, including:

  • SEIU
  • Change to Win
  • AFSCME
  • Communications Workers of America
  • UFCWU
  • Pennsylvania AFL-CIO
  • Teamsters

and more. The overwhelming majority of funds going to the Patriot Majority organization come from left-wing unions. That money is then directed to campaigns intended to discredit opponents of the far-left agenda. All while the organization purports to be nothing more than concerned citizens with no agenda.

Corporate and labor money never left the political system. It’s just been hidden thanks to restrictions on free speech.
