We should be surprised that the most corrupt and far-left administration in history, known for hiring even admitted Communists in high-ranking positions, has expanded the federal payroll to unprecedented levels? The same administration that submitted the largest budget with the largest deficit in American history?

The era of big government has returned with a vengeance, in the form of the largest federal work force in modern history.

The Obama administration says the government will grow to 2.15 million employees this year, topping 2 million for the first time since President Clinton declared that “the era of big government is over” and joined forces with a Republican-led Congress in the 1990s to pare back the federal work force.

The more workers you have on the federal payroll, the higher the budget will have to climb. The higher the budget climbs while tax revenue don’t keep up, the larger the budget deficit will become. To prevent a climbing deficit this administration will end up raising taxes or cutting essential spending elsewhere.

And yet Obama keeps hiring federal employees like the Department of Agriculture is a burger shack in the summer. Amazing.

President Clinton declared that, “the era of big government is over”. Apparently Barack Obama has brought the era back with a vengeance.
