Obama: Ignore the Media and Blogs

by Stephan Tawney on February 3, 2010

Why? Because criticism of his agenda can get across on those mediums. So it’s time for all good Americans to turn off the network news, delete those blogs from your bookmarks, and just listen to what Barack Obama and his allies have to say.

“If we could just — excuse the press — turn off the cameras,” he told Democratic Senators at their annual retreat. “Turn off your CNN, your FOX, your MSNBC, your blogs, turn off this echo chamber … where the topic is politics. … We’ve got to get out of the echo chamber. That was a mistake I made last year – not getting out of here [Washington].”

No serious individual can call Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and the blogosphere an “echo chamber”. The networks have a variety of political leanings, while the blogosphere has more political perspectives and individual opinions than you can count.

Obama just doesn’t like people watching or reading criticism of his agenda, so he wants you to tune it out and listen to him. It’s easier for him that way.

Next up: Controlling media outlets for the “better of the nation”. You know, because it’s in the interest of the American people. And think of the children. Just call him Hugo Obama.
