Obama Super Bowl Party Features One Republican

by Stephan Tawney on February 5, 2010

This is the post-partisan presidency, right? Then why is the only Republican to be invited to the president’s taxpayer-funded Super Bowl party the one who voted for his health care legislation? Has President Bipartisan lost some of his Hope’N'Changey edge?

Incidentally, Allahpundit notes that there are only 17 guests this year as compared with the, er, 75 guests last year. According to Robert Gibbs, forty people were invited this year. That means more than half of those invited declined to watch the biggest sporting event of the year with the president of the United States. It would appear The One has become politically toxic.
