He was reportedly rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital with chest pains this afternoon. George Stephanopoulos, his former aide and now ABC News correspondent, says Clinton is likely undergoing or has undergone a stent procedure. That suggests arterial blockage.
Reportedly his heart surgeon, Dr. Craig Smith, is looking the former president over now.
Update: Okay, a spokesman for Clinton says he received two stents in his coronary artery. He’s said to be in “good spirits”, though he called the hospital two days ago to complain of not feeling well.
