Quick, can you name the president of the European Council, which drives the political direction of the European Union? If you’re like most people in the world, the answer is a resounding “no”.  And that’s one of the two major focuses of this awesomely awesome video.

Nigel Farage, leader of the conservative United Kingdom Independence Party, takes Herman Van Rompuy (he’s the European Council president, by the way) to task. Farage blasts Van Rompuy for seeking to do away with nation states and popular democracy in general.

As Farage asks, who is Van Rompuy? A man in such a powerful position has largely never been heard of by Europeans. He comes from Belgium and has spent his time as EU chief making power grabs. His Pompousness spends most of the video making snide faces and clearly not enjoying the expression of dissent and common sense by Van Rompuy.
