The water is receding, which means the tsunami isn’t far behind. Water pulls out from the shore almost immediately before the wall of water comes.
Meanwhile, the USGS reports the 54th major aftershock as a result of the Chilean earthquake.
Update 1X 4:19 PM ET: A reporter also tells CNN that the water is receding and the water color is beginning to change. Bracing for impact.

Update 4X 5:23 PM ET: Adam Housley of Fox News says Hawaiian television stations are reporting that the 3rd surge, expected to hit within 25 minutes, will be worse.
Update X5 5:35 PM ET: The mayor of Santiago, Chile is ordering evacuations from around a factory where a fire has released a toxic chemical cloud.
Aftershocks still hitting Chile.
Update X6 6:56 PM ET: Hawaii has dodged a major bullet. There are, however, reported deaths in American Samoa and, obviously, Chile. So my condolences.
