Representative James Oberstar (D-Minnesota), who claims to be pro-life, is getting ready to sell-out to pro-abortion forces by backing government-run health care legislation that would provide federal funding for abortions. Reports the Associated Press:
At least two have signaled they are open to supporting the president. One of them, Rep. James Oberstar of Minnesota, is “in the leaning yes column,” said a spokesman, John Schadl.
That would be a “yes” for the Senate version of health care reform, which provides federal taxpayer dollars for voluntary abortion procedures. Put simply, Oberstar is willing to vote for taxpayer-funded abortions.
Which wouldn’t be as big of a problem if he purported to be pro-choice. But Oberstar claims to be a pro-life. That would be impossible to maintain if he votes for taxpayer-funded abortions.
Here’s his website. Let this sell-out know how you feel.
Washington Office: (202) 225-6211

Tell Oberstar that you know a vote for the Senate version of government-run health care is a vote for taxpayer-funded abortions.
