Rep. Dale Kildee (D-MI) has bowed to pro-abortion forces, deciding to vote in favor of federal funding for abortions and major cuts to Medicare. Which is all to say he’ll support the government-run health care legislation before the House of Representatives.
Kildee, a Roman Catholic, graduated from Sacred Heart Seminary and supposedly believes in the protection of life. But now he has announced his support for legislation that provides federal funding for voluntary abortion procedures.
His announcement was swiftly condemned by pro-life organization Susan B. Anthony List. A statement from the organization reads, in part, “His vote for healthcare will be one for abortion and against Life—there is no middle ground.”
Indeed there isn’t. And Kildee himself opposed abortion funding last November, insisting on the Stupak amendment before supporting the House legislation. But now he has abandoned his principles and flip-flopped to support the Senate’s government-run health care which, as previously stated, provides federal taxpayer funds for voluntary abortions.
He’s a pro-abortion flip-flopper now.
