The First Day of Spring

Spring Has Sprung.

It’s today. More specifically, the season of blooming flowers arrives at 1:32 PM EST.

Wow. Powerful stuff.

Meanwhile, Spring’s most famous holiday — Easter — occurs on April 4th this year. (That’s a Sunday in case you’ve never really paid attention.) Which means parents everywhere have already begun dreading the purchase of stale jelly beans, the filling of cheap plastic eggs, and their children consuming enough sugar to remain awake for a fortnight.

So enjoy today. Because tomorrow the House of Representatives votes to pass government-run health care which will take away grandma’s Medicare benefits, hike your taxes, impose unconstitutional requirements on your family, set about destroying the private health care sector, increase the federal deficit, and use taxpayer funds for abortions.

In case you’re wondering, yes, I’m available for motivational speeches and general morale-boosting activities.
