Stupak Now Being Sarcastic About Abortion Funding

by Stephan Tawney on March 21, 2010

The man is either lying or is really, really stupid. And I don’t think he’s stupid.

Rep. Bart Stupak (D., Mich.) tells National Review Online that the executive order will stand, despite pro-life groups’ concerns. Couldn’t it be changed or dropped in the future? “The sky could also fall,” he tells us. “I hope they (pro-life groups) see it the way it is . . . It’s not about pro-life or pro-choice, it’s about most Americans agreeing that we should not publicly fund abortions.”

Which is why he’s voting for the public to fund abortions.

The sky could also fall? Okay, smartass, I think it’s a bit more likely that a pro-abortion president will rescind an executive order supposedly banning abortion funding.

And no, pro-life groups won’t see your selling-out as protecting the sanctity of life. They’ll see it as what it is: Your voting to force taxpayers to fund voluntary abortion procedures.

The guy is either a lying or ignorant douchebag. Hopefully Democrats will knock him out in the primary. He deserves to join the unemployment line.
