President Barack Obama’s approval rating has hit the lowest point since his inauguration, a new CNN poll has found. Just 46% of Americans express approval of the president’s job performance.
Update: Here we go. Not only has Obama’s approval rating hit a new low in CNN polling, but this is the first time a majority actually disapprove of him.
Washington (CNN) – For the first time, a CNN poll has found that a majority of Americans disapprove of President Obama’s job performance.
According to a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Monday, 51 percent of respondents disapprove of Obama’s job performance and 46 percent approve of it.
The poll was taken prior to passage of government-run health care legislation last night, but another CNN poll released today shows 59% of Americans opposing that legislation. So passage is unlikely to help his approval amongst most Americans, especially with overwhelming majorities telling CNN that they expect the deficit and their own medical expenses to increase thanks to ObamaCare.
And there’s this:
In fact, health care was the policy area that drew the second highest negative rating, with 58 percent registering disapproval. The highest negative rating was 62 percent for his handling of the federal deficit.
And yet here’s the left to inform us that not only will ObamaCare not hurt Democrats in 2010, but the majority party will actually gain seats. As Allahpundit says, let’s hope government-run health care covers brain injuries.
Here’s your fun exit link. Dude.
