Pennsylvania To Sue Federal Gov’t Over ObamaCare

Well, this appears to have been unexpected. The state of Pennsylvania will join Florida, Idaho, Virginia, and several other states in suing the federal government over the clearly unconstitutional provisions in government-run health care.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett is planning to join a legal challenge to federal health care reform legislation.

Mr. Corbett’s office said today the Republican is working with counterparts in at least 10 other states on a strategy to challenge the constitutionality of the bill. It is not clear where the challenge will be filed or what aspect of the bill the suit will challenge.

Furthermore, legislation will be introduced in the Pennsylvania legislature to prevent Pennsylvanians from being fined or imprisoned if they choose not to purchase the health insurance plan demanded by Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

Other states going to court over ObamaCare? Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, Idaho, and Texas. Nebraska, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Washington are expected to join the legal challenge.

Why? First, the legislation is clearly unconstitutional. Under threat of fines or imprisonment, it requires private citizens to purchase a specific private product from a private company.

Second, it imposes additional costs on states already suffering thanks to the policies of Democrats in the White House and Congress.

Don’t be surprised if additional states join in on the legal fun.
